Red, it is

It's not really fate or kismet that after going to six different stores, I bought my wedding dress from a store called Bridal.  The names of the stores were all something or other related to the concept of weddings.

I did, however, find it interesting that our shopping excursion was in the shape of a U and Bridal was the last one that we went to.  We started off right across the street from it.  Like everything that's been happening lately, it's within sight- but it takes a long time to get it done.

The mannequins in the shop window.  I don't really see Akhtar being too happy with wearing something like this white coat with skinny pants.  Still have to choose his outfit and considering how tall he is, that may end up being more of a challenge than mine.  We'll see.

Above is the skirt portion of my wedding dress.  The top is still being tailored to my size and will be ready on the 28th.  I didn't really think I was going to go for the traditional red dress, but then everyone was saying that it was what looks best, and I didn't really have the mental energy to rock the boat.  It's a beautiful dress, just not what I imagined getting married in.  That's alright.  This is about getting through to the other side, and I'm one step closer to it.  To my fate- my destiny, of apparently becoming a New Jerseyian :)
